Dr. Rose Hart

CHS Audiologist

Dr. Rose Hart received her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) and her Master of Science (M.S.) in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences from Gallaudet University. She completed her undergraduate coursework at University of Connecticut. Dr. Hart completed her residency training at the VA Puget Sound. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-A) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is fluent in American Sign Language.

Dr. Clementina Canessa

CHS Audiologist

Dr. Clementina Canessa received her Doctorate of Audiology degree from Northwestern University and completed her externship at the University of Illinois-Chicago Audiology clinic. She completed her undergraduate coursework at Purdue University. Dr. Canessa is fluent in Spanish and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology. Her favorite activity is going for walks with her dog, Toby.

Dr. David J. Schmidt, Au. D.

CHS Audiologist

Dr. David J. Schmidt, Au. D., has been a clinical audiologist since 1988. He’s worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, speech and hearing clinics, and the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind. Dr. Schmidt is a licensed sign language interpreter, holding certification from the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. His undergraduate degree from Illinois State University was in deaf and hard of hearing education. He subsequently earned his master’s degree in audiology from ISU. He’s held a doctoral degree since 2005 from the University of Florida.
